Fuji Wisteria Park

With around 100 different varieties of wisteria from all over Japan, Fuji Wisteria Park in the town of Wake, Okayama, draws visitors in spring for its beautiful flower displays. One of the floral highlights is the 500-meter-long tunnel of trailing wisteria blooms that forms over the arched trellis. The blooms envelop visitors in the colors and scents of the flowers as they walk through the tunnel. The flowers are in full bloom from late April to early May. When the wisteria blooms are at their peak, the park holds a wisteria festival with evening illuminations and various events. The park is free to enter except during the festival when an admission fee is charged.
