Tsuda no Matsubara

This beach in Kinrin Park Sanuki City is part of the Setonaikai National Park and is the most popular swimming beach in Kagawa in summer. A grove of black pines was planted along a 1-kilometer stretch of the beachfront in the early Edo Period (1603–1867), as a windbreak for nearby Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine. Some of the pine trees are believed to be over 600 years old, and the beautiful scenery of azure water, white sand, and green pine trees attracts visitors year-round. Tsuda no Matsubara is a 15-minute walk from Sanuki Tsuda Station.
