Shishijima Island
Shishijima is a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, about 20 minutes by ferry from Miyanoshita Port in Kagawa. The whole island measures just 3.8 kilometers in circumference, with a total area of less than 1 square kilometer. The permanent population is around 20. The symbol of the island is an ancient camphor tree believed to be over 1,200 years old. Flower meadows color the island from April to June, affording views of the surrounding sea framed by vivid blooms.
