Mt. Iino
Mt. Iino (422 m) near Marugame City in Kagawa, is known as “Sanuki Fuji”, for its gently sloping form which resembles Mt. Fuji. In spring, the foothills of the mountain are covered with fragrant peach blossoms. It takes around one hour to climb to the summit, which affords views of mountains, the Sanuki Plain, and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. According to local legend, the mountain was created by a giant, and huge rocks near the summit are said to bear his footprints.
