Hiroshima Sandan-kyo Gorge
This large canyon is about 16 kilometers in length from the entrance of Sandan-kyo to Hijiri Lake. Five scenic spots, including Kurofuchi, Sarutobi, Nidantaki, Sandantaki, and Mitsutaki Waterfalls, were awarded 3 stars in the French travel magazine "Blue Guide." The ferry crossing between Kurofuchi and Saruwatari is one of the highlights of the Sandan-kyo Gorge. There is also a restaurant, "Kurofuchi so," where guests can take a break and enjoy the local meals. Visitors have the opportunity to try kayaking near the entrance of Sandan-kyo Gorge as well.
