Yamaguchi Akiyoshidai Mountain-Burning Event

In order to maintain a rich grassy plain, and regain nourishment, a mountain-burning event is held on the 3rd Sunday of every February at Akiyoshidai. All the fires are started with the siren, and flames reach a height of 5 to 6 meters, and they burn 1,500 ha in just a few hours. The dynamic sight looks overwhelming for those who see it.
