Tokushima Iya Bijin

This hot spring resort overlooks the magnificent Iya Valley. Originally a handmade soba shop, which made soba from locally produced buckwheat and the natural spring water, this resort was renovated into an onsen and ryokan, while keeping the soba restaurant intact. There are nine rooms in total and each room is equipped with an outdoor hot spring, so visitors can enjoy the hot springs from their rooms while taking in the stunning scenery. Guests should make sure not to miss the meals offered at the ryokan, as the locally made Iya Soba is well worth tasting, and the other unique local dishes such as river fish and mountain vegetables are delicious as well.
